We plan your hiking tour in the Alps or in Norway

Self-guided tours from cabin to cabin, trekking or daytrips 

A meticulous planning takes time:

• Is the hike adapted for beginners? Are there vertiginous sections? Will there still be snow? Is the distance too long?
• Are there accommodations? email and phone?
  
• Which hiking map covers the area? Which equipment is necessary?
• Are there worthwhile detours? Points of interest?
  
• What are the timetables for local buses? For the funicular?
  
• You can find everything on the internet but the search is time-consuming and the interesting sites might be in German, Italian, French or Norwegian!
  

We help you with choosing the route and planning all aspects of your hiking tour:

• Choosing the destination (optional)
  You have no precise idea of the destination? You do not know which route is the right one for you? We have plenty of tour ideas where you can discover majestic nature for your personal enjoyment and experience.

• Planning the hiking tour
  We answer your questions per email or phone and provide you a detailed route description. We can order the hiking maps for you (optional).

• NO booking of flight, accommodation and meals
  Alp & Fjell is not a travel agency but a hiking specialist. We book neither flight nor accommodation. This can be be done by a travel agency in your area. .
  In case of tours from cabin to cabin (or mountain lodge) we provide contact data (homepage, email, phone) for the accommodation at the end of each hiking day.
  The choice is yours: hotel, mountain lodge, cabin or tent. The price for the tour planning is independent from the accommodation. You pay the accommodation and the meals directly during the tour.

Our offer (private self-guided hiking tours only) - Prices 2011:

* VAT included, without hiking map. All services mentioned in our planning package below included. We send you a list of accommodations (mountain cabins or mountain inns) and you make the reservations yourself.

Price example: group price for 7 hiking days (6 accommodations) for 2 persons: 7 x 24 € = 168 € without reservation of accommodations.

Order in time!

We need time for planning a tour adapted to your wishes. During the planning we keep email contact with you to answer your questions and adapt the tour to your needs. For planning a tour with several hiking days we usually need about one week for choosing the route, one week for the rough planning and 2-3 weeks for the detailed planning.

Just send us a mail with the area (if you have already chosen one) and the approximate date. We will contact you as soon as possible.

Additional information you can send us immediately or during the tour planning: number of adults/children, physical condition (for an easy or demanding tour?), mountain experience, type of accommodation, travel with car or public transportation.
